LAGE alternative
A LAGE alternative: read-only Linear panel, no backend
If you searched for a LAGE Coming Soon alternative, this is the honest version: nelsondaza/linear-and-github-extension is a separate MIT project. We did not fork it, and we do not copy its code.
LAGE’s public README still pointed at a Chrome Web Store listing that was Coming Soon when we shipped. The window that created was “a Linear issue surface on GitHub that you can actually install.” Linear GitHub Panel is our answer to that window, with a narrower product: a read-only PR-page card and no Linear-data backend.
How we differ on purpose
- Read-only. Status, priority, estimate, project, assignee, deep link. No mutations, no comment sync, no “move to Done from GitHub.”
-
Zero Linear backend. GraphQL goes from your browser to
api.linear.app. Our Cloudflare Worker only talks to Creem for trial and license checks. It never sees your Linear API key or issue bodies. - Installable now as an unpacked Chrome build, with a Store listing to follow. Until then, download the GitHub Release ZIP.
If LAGE ships a Store build with a different shape — write actions, a Kanban, a fuller Linear client — that can be the better tool for you. This page is a pointer, not a takedown.
What we are not
Not an official Linear or GitHub product. Not a generic PR dashboard. Not a replacement for Linear’s own GitHub integration, which you should keep for links and automation.
